In Nature

Flowers in high alpine terrain are peaking and Saturday was a very flowery day for me.

The Queen’s crown is one of my very favorite. They grow in a wet terrain so you will find them near a little creek or a marshy area. I love the contrast between the sharp green foliage and the vivid color of the flower. Click on the image for a more vivid color.

These ones were thriving at 12,000 feet.
