FOREST-BATHING IN ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK
The whooshing sound of the river, a sharper tone from a waterfall nearby and many birds songs captivate my ears. It is 6.30am and I am hiking to Fern Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park. The dominant green color is punctuated by touches of yellow Arnica, pink wild roses and the orange-colored trunk of the magnificent Ponderosa Pines. The trail is flat for now and, in the freshness of the morning, I feel light and happy, enjoying every sensation this forest-bathing can bring to my senses.
Tomorrow we will continue up towards the lake…
