In Meditation

As I enter the Alcove trail, I walk on a sandy path surrounded by thorny bushes and juniper trees. Very soon, the path becomes narrower, the light softer. Immense cliffs, that only birds can conquer easily, tower me. I touch these soft eroded walls shaped as waves and put my forehead against them. Faraway from being oppressed by these alcove walls,  I feel my love for nature and nature loving me. This is home.

The strength and vulnerability of these rocks, shaped by erosion,  echo my own strength and vulnerability. I connect to the spirit of the universe through their beauty and enjoy a sense of  groundedness and freedom.
